BCS FixSafe is a home repair marketplace with a structured workflow that keeps both homeowners and contractors informed at every step.
The homeowner describes the repair, specifies the location, and optionally sets a budget range. The job is posted to the platform where contractors can see and quote on it.
Contractors browse open jobs and submit quotes with a price, estimated timeline, and a message. Homeowners can receive multiple quotes and compare them before deciding.
The homeowner selects the preferred contractor and accepts their quote. The other submitted quotes are closed. A payment record is created for the agreed amount.
Payment is collected securely through Stripe-powered checkout. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe — the platform never stores payment card data.
The contractor does the job and marks it complete. They can upload completion proof photos and add notes describing the work done.
The homeowner reviews the completion photos and notes. Once satisfied, they approve the work. This triggers the payment release step for the contractor.
After homeowner approval, the payment release workflow is triggered. The contractor receives a payout to their connected Stripe account according to Stripe's payout schedule.
BCS FixSafe uses Stripe-powered checkout to handle payments. The work approval step gives homeowners a structured way to confirm completion before the payment release process begins. This is not a legal escrow service. Payment processing is subject to platform terms and Stripe's terms of service.
