Terms of Service

BCS FixSafe is an online marketplace that connects homeowners with independent home-repair contractors. We provide tools for job posting, quote submission, protected payment tracking, messaging, photo documentation, and reviews.

BCS FixSafe is a technology platform. We are not a bank, a licensed escrow agent, an insurer, a contractor employer, or a background-check provider. We do not guarantee contractor licensing, insurance, or work quality beyond what is recorded through the platform.

By using BCS FixSafe, you agree to:

• Provide truthful, accurate information in your account, profile, job postings, and quotes.
• Use the platform only for lawful purposes.
• Treat other users with respect — no harassment, threats, or discrimination.
• Keep job-related communication within BCS FixSafe before a contractor is hired, so payment protection and support tools are available.
• Not share private contact details, off-platform payment instructions, or other bypass attempts in pre-hire messages.

BCS FixSafe provides a payment tracking workflow powered by Stripe. When a homeowner accepts a quote and completes payment:

• Funds are processed by Stripe, subject to Stripe's terms.
• BCS FixSafe tracks job status, work completion, homeowner approval, and payment release within the platform.
• The homeowner controls when the payment release is recorded in BCS FixSafe after approving completed work.
• BCS FixSafe does not hold funds in a legal escrow account. Payment protection refers to the on-platform workflow and status tracking, not guaranteed fund recovery.
• Jobs found through BCS FixSafe should be completed through the platform so payment records, support, and review tools apply.

Contractors on BCS FixSafe are independent service providers. They are not employees, agents, or representatives of BCS FixSafe. BCS FixSafe does not supervise, direct, or guarantee their work.

Contractor profile information (business name, license number, years of experience, insurance status) is self-reported by the contractor. BCS FixSafe does not independently verify this information unless explicitly stated.

BCS FixSafe allows homeowners to review contractors and contractors to review homeowners after a completed and paid job. Reviews must be:

• Honest and based on your genuine experience of the job.
• Job-related — not personal attacks, off-topic complaints, or unrelated grievances.
• Respectful — no threats, hate speech, or harassment.
• Free of private or sensitive information, such as personal phone numbers, addresses, or financial details.

BCS FixSafe may moderate, hold for review, or remove content that violates these standards. Reviews are subject to our content moderation process.

BCS FixSafe may send transactional SMS notifications to the phone number you provide, through the BCS FixSafe Transactional Notifications program. Message types include account alerts, verification codes, job posting updates, contractor quote notifications, quote acceptance updates, payment status updates, work completion updates, review reminders, safety notices, and support follow-ups.

BCS FixSafe does not send promotional or marketing SMS messages. All SMS messages are transactional only.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP (or STOPALL, CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE) to opt out, or HELP for assistance. Consent to receive SMS messages is not required as a condition of purchase.

Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent data are not sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.

SMS messages are delivered by Telnyx on behalf of BCS FixSafe. Telnyx processes your phone number as a service provider subject to their own privacy policy.

Users may open a support case for a job to request human review of an issue. Opening a support case does not:

• Guarantee a refund, payment reversal, or penalty for any party.
• Automatically resolve disputes.
• Replace legal remedies.

Support cases are reviewed by BCS FixSafe staff, who may follow up for more information. Outcomes are at our discretion.

• Sharing private contact details or off-platform payment links before a contractor is hired.
• Creating fake accounts, fake reviews, or submitting false job information.
• Using BCS FixSafe for any purpose other than legitimate home repair services.
• Attempting to circumvent content moderation, safety filters, or platform policies.

BCS FixSafe and its content are owned by BCS FixSafe. You may not copy, redistribute, or use platform content outside of normal platform use without permission.

BCS FixSafe is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, BCS FixSafe is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from platform use, contractor work quality, or payment disputes between users.

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
